I like to see our clients grow – not just in a business sense, but in a personal sense as they gain confidence in their own financial management skills. That can mean anything from someone understanding what they can and can’t use their business account to pay for – to someone expanding their business overseas and getting to grips with the tax implications and FX transactions.
Nick and I will question, we’ll reflect and, we’ll work to understand where any fears a new client has might lie, where there are frustrations and where people may have felt let down or vulnerable in the past when it comes to managing their money.
We’re careful not to shame, criticise or patronise. The people we work with are brilliant at what they do, and we have enormous respect for them. We’ll help them identify opportunities for growth and troubleshoot anything that’s getting in their way.
I see our role in our clients’ businesses as freeing them to do more of what they’re good at. We have a vested interest in their success – of course we do – but it’s more than that. It’s about doing what we’re good at and bringing that into a business and seeing people’s stress fall away. Taking away the worry and watching them flourish. Putting them in control of their finances, with our support, and helping them make their money go further.
